Lucha Underground: Season 3

Season overview

Season three of Lucha Underground begins with the return of Dario Cueto to the Temple following his release from prison. Cueto had previously been arrested in connection with the murder of Mr. Cisco. With his return, the Temple resumes operations, and Cueto displays increased confidence in his brother, the undefeated Lucha Underground Champion known as the Monster Matanza Cueto. The narrative arc centers on Matanza Cueto’s ongoing quest for violent domination and his objective to facilitate the destruction of the seven ancient Aztec tribes. As these events unfold within the gritty battleground of the Temple, the stakes for the participants grow significantly. One hero is forced to embark on a dark path, while other individuals are required to make substantial sacrifices in their efforts to ensure their own survival and protect the world from the impending threat posed by the Cueto brothers. The season continues the series' tradition of blending high-flying lucha libre action with dramatic, supernatural, and mysterious elements as good and evil continue their conflict within the confines of the wrestling promotion's established environment.
