Lucha Underground: Season 2

Season overview

In the second season of Lucha Underground, the narrative continues within the gritty battleground known as The Temple. As darkness descends upon this arena, the stakes for the competing luchadores are raised significantly. The season features a return to combat for established fighters, who must now contend with a bevy of new competitors arriving to challenge their dominance. The environment remains a place where good and evil wage war through the high-flying and explosive moves characteristic of the lucha libre tradition. Because the competition has intensified, physical strength and personal honor are no longer sufficient for those seeking to remain on top. The series continues to blend elements of action, drama, science fiction, and fantasy, maintaining its focus on the intense rivalries and combat that define the promotion. Wrestlers from across the world, including those from Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide and various independent circuits, gather to compete in the ring. As the season progresses, the luchadores must navigate this increasingly dangerous landscape, where the pressure to succeed is compounded by the arrival of new challengers and the encroaching darkness that threatens to consume the temple and its participants.
