Season overview

Loki is an American television series created by Michael Waldron for the streaming service Disney+. Produced by Marvel Studios, the show is the third television series set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and shares continuity with the franchise films. The series features the character Loki, known as the God of Mischief, who steps out of his brother's shadow to embark on a new adventure. The narrative begins following the events of the film Avengers: Endgame, during which an alternate version of Loki steals the Tesseract. This action leads to the character being brought before the Time Variance Authority. The Time Variance Authority is a mysterious, bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline. Upon his arrival, the organization presents Loki with a choice regarding his fate, as he faces the possibility of being erased from existence. The series explores the consequences of his actions as he navigates his role as a mercurial villain in this new environment. The project is based on Marvel Comics and stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, and Wunmi Mosaku. The series premiered in 2021.
