Overview

Listen to Me, Girls. I am Your Father! is a 2012 television series centered on the life of university freshman Segawa Yuta. Yuta was raised by his sister, Yuri, after losing his parents at a young age. Following Yuri’s marriage, Yuta lived independently. The narrative begins when Yuri visits Yuta at his apartment and requests that he look after her three daughters while she and her husband travel. Yuta reluctantly agrees to the arrangement. However, the situation changes drastically when the plane carrying Yuri and her husband goes missing. To prevent the three girls from being separated and adopted by different relatives, Yuta makes the decision to take them in himself. This results in the formation of an unconventional family unit as they attempt to navigate their new living situation within the confines of Yuta’s tiny apartment. The series documents the challenges and adjustments these characters face as they adapt to their sudden and unexpected domestic life together.
