Overview

Lighter and Princess is a 2022 Chinese coming-of-age romance television drama directed by Liu Junjie and written by Zhou Yong. The series, which was originally titled Lighter and the Princess Dress, stars actors Chen Feiyu and Zhang Jingyi. It is adapted from the novel Lighter and the Princess Dress by the Jinjiang Literature City author Twentine. The story begins when Zhu Yun starts her college life and encounters a student named Li Xun, whom she initially perceives as a rich, ignorant, and incompetent young man. However, Li Xun is actually a programming genius and a special admissions student. After several confrontations, the two characters develop a mutual appreciation for one another. When a senior named Fang Zhijing repeatedly makes things difficult for Zhu Yun, Li Xun intervenes to protect her. He eventually invites her to join a programming team he has established to compete in a major competition. The series explores their evolving relationship as they navigate their academic and personal lives together.
