Overview

Leyla is a Turkish television series that premiered in 2024. The show centers on a woman named Leyla, who, after enduring a traumatic childhood, embarks on a path of vengeance against her stepmother. As a child, Leyla is deeply affected by the cruelty of her stepmother, Nur, who was previously a caregiver for Leyla's late mother. This mistreatment turns Leyla's home life into a living nightmare. Following her father Hilmi's failure to recognize the abuse, Leyla is ultimately abandoned and left to survive on her own. Years later, having transformed her identity, she returns with the intent of exacting revenge. However, her plans are complicated when she uncovers a personal connection between her stepmother and a man from her past, altering the course of her mission. The series explores themes of justice, love, and emotional resilience. It stars Cemre Baysel in the lead role alongside Gonca Vuslateri and Yigit Kirazci.
