Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales is an animated television series released in the year 2015 that falls under the genres of animation, comedy, family, and sci-fi and fantasy. However, celebratory events are abruptly interrupted when a mysterious hooded figure steals Admiral Ackbar's ship, taking R2-D2 along inside as an unwitting hostage. As C-3PO and the remaining members of the Rebels pursue the vessel across the galaxy, C-3PO recounts numerous stories involving the Rebels and their major adventures. These retold events trace the history that led to the conflict between the Jedi and the Sith, the establishment of the Empire, and the subsequent search for a new hope.
