Overview

Legion is an American surrealist superhero television series created by Noah Hawley for FX. Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, the show was produced by FX Productions in association with Marvel Television. The series ran for three seasons, beginning on February 8, 2017, and concluding on August 12, 2019. The story follows David Haller, a troubled young man who has spent years in and out of psychiatric hospitals after being diagnosed as schizophrenic. After experiencing a strange encounter with a fellow patient, David begins to question his reality. He realizes that the voices he hears and the visions he sees may be real, leading him to discover that he possesses special powers that change his life forever. As he works to piece together his fragmented memories, he confronts the possibility that he is more than human. The series stars Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Aubrey Plaza, and Bill Irwin, with Hawley serving as the showrunner throughout its broadcast run.
