Legend of the Seeker is an American fantasy television series that aired from 2008 to 2010. The show follows Richard Cypher, a woodsman who learns he is destined to become a legendary hero known as the Seeker. Guided by a mysterious woman named Kahlan and a wise wizard named Zedd, Richard embarks on a quest to prevent a ruthless tyrant from unleashing an ancient evil. Based on Terry Goodkind's novel series The Sword of Truth, the program was developed for television by Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert, Joshua Donen, and Ned Nalle. The series stars Craig Horner as Richard, Bridget Regan as Kahlan, Bruce Spence as Zedd, and Craig Parker as Darken Rahl. It was produced by ABC Studios and distributed domestically by Disney-ABC Television. The show blends adventure, sword-and-sorcery elements, and supernatural themes throughout its run.
