Synopsis
Calvert DeForest is live at Times Square as the show is taped hours earlier; Tom Arnold appears again on New Year's Eve, this time without Roseanne; Biff gets scissors from Dave to get rid of the Cabbage Patch doll chewing on his ear; Kamarr the Discount Magician tries in vain to impress the audience.

The fourth season of Late Show with David Letterman continued with episode 74, featuring a live broadcast from Times Square. The show was taped hours earlier, with Calvert DeForest providing a live update from the iconic location.
Tom Arnold made a return appearance on the show, this time without his Roseanne co-star. His visit coincided with New Year's Eve celebrations.
A segment involving Biff and a Cabbage Patch doll was also featured, with David Letterman providing scissors to Biff to help him deal with the doll's behavior.
The show also included an appearance by Kamarr, who claimed to be a magician. However, his attempts to impress the audience were unsuccessful.
