Synopsis
Dave says goodnight halfway through the show and then leaves. Paul goes to search for Dave but gets distracted playing basketball. Dave is finally found guiding planes on the runway at JFK Airport, so Biff calls him via a courtesy phone and tells him to return.

In this episode of Late Show with David Letterman, the show's host, David Letterman, departs the stage halfway through the broadcast. Paul, a member of the show's staff, attempts to locate Letterman but becomes sidetracked by playing basketball.
Eventually, Letterman is discovered at John F. Kennedy Airport, where he is guiding planes on the runway. A courtesy phone is used to contact him, and he is instructed to return to the show.
