The Late Show with David Letterman broadcast its 161st episode of the second season from London. The show began with a unique entrance, as ten London Guards escorted David Letterman onstage. This marked the start of a segment that featured David Letterman and Paul causing chaos in the city.
The show also featured a musical performance by Elton John. During his appearance, Elton John reacted to a videotaped rendition of one of his songs by William Shatner. Following this, Elton John performed one of his own songs, "Made in England."
