Episode recap
The episode of Late Show with David Letterman, which aired as the 143rd episode of its second season, featured a notable segment with the show's cue cards. A large banner was used in place of the standard cue card, held by a member of the show's staff, Tony. This change was made at the request of host David Letterman, who expressed dissatisfaction with the size of the original cue card.
The show also featured a Top Ten list presented by ten mayors of other cities. This segment was a recurring feature of the show, in which a list of humorous items was presented by a guest or group of guests.
A minor issue arose during the show when a blue card was discovered to be missing. The missing card was eventually found, having been taped to the backside of a guest, actress Sandra Bullock.
