La Mentira is a television soap opera released in 1998. The series follows the story of a young woman named Virginia, who is characterized as wicked and ambitious. Her actions include stealing her own fiancé, Ricardo, and eventually spurning him to live with another man named Joao. Virginia is also described as being capable of aborting her own child.
