Overview
Kuroko's Basketball is an anime television series that follows a high school basketball team as they attempt to reach the national tournament. The story begins when Kagami Taiga enrolls at Seirin High School and meets Kuroko Tetsuya, who is a member of the school's basketball team. Kuroko is revealed to be the shadowy sixth member of the legendary basketball group known as the Generation of Miracles. Together, Kagami and Kuroko form a partnership described as a battle of light and shadow. They make a pact to work together to take their team to the inter-high school championship in order to defeat Kuroko's former teammates from the Generation of Miracles. The series adaptation was produced by Production I.G and aired for three seasons between April 2012 and June 2015. The cast features voice actors including Kensho Ono, Yoshimasa Hosoya, Yuki Ono, and Hirofumi Nojima. A sequel manga titled Kuroko's Basketball: Extra Game was also serialized in Jump Next! from December 2014 to March 2016.
