Knight Hunters is an animated television series that originally premiered in 1998, categorized under animation, drama, and action and adventure. The series follows the exploits of four young men named Aya, Youji, Ken, and Omi, who together comprise the assassin group known as Weiss Kreuz. Operating out of a flower shop called Kitty in the House, these members eliminate various menaces to society under the command of a mysterious man known only as Persia.
Each member of the group utilizes a distinct trademark fighting style. Aya is adept at fighting with a katana, Youji has mastered the art of strangulation via strings, Ken is lethal with his metal claws, and Omi specializes in a wide array of projectiles. Under Persia's command, Weiss Kreuz is dispatched to take care of targets such as drug rings and terrorist factions.
As their missions progress, the group discovers that most, if not all, of the bad elements they have dealt with are connected to the wealthy, powerful, and influential Takatori family. To truly nip the problem in the bud, Weiss Kreuz faces the necessity of putting an end to one of Japan's most prominent clans.
