Overview
Joker Game is a Japanese anime television series produced by Production I.G that aired from April 5, 2016, to June 21, 2016. The series is based on a novel series written by Koji Yanagi. Set in 1937 on the eve of World War II, the narrative focuses on a mysterious spy training organization called the D Agency. This organization was established by Lieutenant Colonel Yuuki of the Imperial Japanese Army. Deviating from standard military practices, Yuuki recruits individuals beyond military academy graduates and personnel, training them in the arts of manipulation to serve as a specialized team of agents. As intelligence on the social and economic situations of other nations becomes a valuable asset, these agents are deployed to conduct various operations. One agent, operating under the name Jirou Gamou, is featured in a mission to uncover secret documents referred to as Black Notes. The anime adaptation is part of a franchise that also includes a live-action film and two manga adaptations.
