Island of the Dolls is a horror and thriller film released in 2018 with a run time of one hour and eighteen minutes. Directed by Sebastian Mantilla, the film was released in Great Britain on October twenty first, 2018. The story is set against the backdrop of murders that occurred in 1957 upon the infamous Island of the Dolls in Mexico. In the modern day, a British journalist named Emily deceitfully takes an assignment in London to research and uncover the truth of the unspoken event. With the assistance of her photographer friend and several Mexican locals, they travel to the mysterious island and soon discover the danger that awaits them. Despite experiencing spooky and sometimes threatening incidences, Emily remains determined to crack the case. The narrative questions whether she will accept the truth before she too remains a doll.
