Season overview

Ishura is an animated television series belonging to the action, adventure, sci-fi, and fantasy genres. Following the demise of the demon king, a power vacuum disrupts the balance of the world. Self-proclaimed demon kings from various worlds assemble in the New Principality of Lithia to fight for the vacant power. Among the contenders is the master swordsman Soujirou Yagyuu, who seeks to claim the position for himself. He is joined by Tooi Kagizume no Yuno, a young girl he saved from an army of golems that destroyed her city, as he enters Lithia to battle for the title. Simultaneously, the leaders of the Aureatia Kingdom attempt to destabilize Lithia by launching bandits against merchandise convoys traveling through the principality. In response, Imashime of Taren, the founder of Lithia and a defector from Aureatia, sends the vicious thief Kasasagi no Dakai to investigate the origin of the attacks. With war on the brink of eruption, the contenders for the demon king's throne prepare to influence the coming conflict.
