Overview
Impractical Jokers is an American hidden camera and improv comedy television series that premiered on TruTV on December 15, 2011. Produced by NorthSouth Productions, the show features four lifelong friends who are members of the comedy troupe known as The Tenderloins. The original cast members include Brian Quinn, James Murray, Sal Vulcano, and Joe Gatto, the latter of whom departed the series in December 2021. The program follows these individuals as they compete against one another by performing various outrageous dares and stunts. These hidden-camera hijinks are designed to test who performs best under pressure. At the conclusion of the challenges, the participant who fails is required to complete a mortifying task deemed the most difficult of the episode. The series focuses on the real-life friendship between the men as they engage in these stunts.
