Overview

Imo Tako Nankin is a television series set in 1962 Osaka. The story follows Hanaoka Machiko, a 37-year-old single woman who works at a hardware store in Osaka City while simultaneously pursuing a career as a novelist. After falling ill from overwork, she is examined by a doctor named Tokunaga Kenjiro. Machiko and Kenjiro eventually marry, leading Machiko to join his complex household.
