Hyper Police is a 1997 television series set in a world where humans and monsters coexist. The story follows Sasahara Natsuki, a bounty hunter who works to enforce laws protecting humans from the more powerful monster population. Because Natsuki is half-human and half cat-beast, she navigates the complexities of both societies while attempting to respect their differing perspectives. Her work as a bounty hunter frequently involves addressing cases where monsters infringe upon human rights. Natsuki is supported in her efforts by a team of associates. This group includes a werewolf named Batanen, who harbors unexpressed romantic feelings for her, and another werewolf named Tommy. They are also joined by a Kyubi fox demon named Sakura. Sakura maintains her own personal agenda, which involves a plan to consume Natsuki in order to complete her nine tails. The series explores the challenges of maintaining order in a society where Natsuki must balance her dual heritage with her professional responsibilities as a law enforcer.
