Overview
Hung is an American comedy-drama television series that aired on HBO from June 28, 2009, to December 4, 2011. The show was created by Colette Burson and Dmitry Lipkin and features Thomas Jane in the lead role. The narrative centers on Ray Drecker, a former high school sports legend currently working as a middle-aged basketball and baseball coach in suburban Detroit. Following a divorce and the destruction of his home by fire, Ray struggles to provide for his children. Facing these desperate financial circumstances, he decides to seek a second job by exploiting his best asset. This decision leads him to resort to prostitution as a means to change his fortunes. The series also features cast members Jane Adams, Charlie Saxton, and Sianoa Smit-McPhee. Throughout its run, the program explored the challenges faced by the protagonist as he navigated his personal and professional life while attempting to improve his situation through unconventional means.
