After securing a victory for his team during an extremely important game, he is transformed into a local town hero. François subsequently utilizes his newfound fame to exact revenge upon the team star who had previously subjected him to various mockeries. Jean Bouise received the César Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his contribution to the film. The movie has a total runtime of one hour and twenty-nine minutes and was released in the United States on January 21, 1980. The film is also known by its original French title, Coup de tête.
