Overview

Horimiya is a 2021 Japanese anime television series produced by CloverWorks and co-created by Aniplex. The show is an adaptation of Daisuke Hagiwara's manga, which itself is based on HERO's webcomic titled Hori-san to Miyamura-kun. The story centers on two high school students, Hori and Miyamura, who discover each other's hidden sides. At school, Hori is seen as a popular and composed student, but at home, she is more casual and straightforward. Conversely, Miyamura appears aloof and unremarkable to his peers, though he has a kind nature and personal interests that contrast his public image. Their unexpected encounter leads to a deeper connection as they begin to share parts of themselves they had previously concealed.
