Overview

Homesick for You, also known by its German title Heimweh nach dir, is a West German musical film released in 1952. The film was directed by Robert A. Stemmle and stars Margot Hielscher, Peter Pasetti, and Josefin Kipper, with additional cast members including Käthe Haack and Paul Esser. It was shot at the Tempelhof Studios in West Berlin, featuring set designs created by art directors Franz Schroedter and Karl Weber.

The story follows five musicians in pre-war Berlin who form a dance band that achieves significant success, largely thanks to their singer, Marion. However, love rivalries eventually break out among the members. As the Second World War begins, the musicians are scattered in all directions. Years later, following the conclusion of the war, a coincidence brings the group together again.
