Overview

The story follows a Christian drag queen named Holiday Heart who is mourning the loss of his police officer lover. While dealing with his grief, he encounters a twelve-year-old girl named Niki and her mother, Wanda, who struggles with drug addiction. Heart finds a renewed sense of purpose by welcoming the two women into his home and assuming the role of a father figure to Niki. The stability of this makeshift family is eventually challenged when Wanda begins a romantic relationship with a drug dealer named Silas. This development creates tension that threatens the safety of Niki and the future of the household. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer handled the distribution of the film on DVD. The project has a runtime of one hour and thirty-six minutes and was released in the United States on December 10, 2000.
