Overview

Hell of a Summer is a 2025 film that follows the experiences of 24-year-old Jason Hochberg as he arrives at Camp Pineway for a scheduled counsellor weekend. Upon his arrival at the location, Hochberg faces the immediate personal challenge of feeling disconnected and out of touch with the younger teenage staff members working alongside him at the camp. However, the situation at the camp takes a dangerous turn that remains unknown to him at the start of his visit. Unbeknownst to Hochberg, a masked killer has already infiltrated the camp grounds and successfully murdered the camp owners, John and Kathy. As the weekend progresses, the unknown assailant prepares to strike again, posing an escalating threat to the counsellors and others present at Camp Pineway. The narrative centers on the tension between the social dynamics among the camp staff and the lethal danger posed by the presence of the killer hidden within the camp environment.
