Hee is a 2016 drama film with a runtime of one hour and twelve minutes. The story follows a Japanese psychiatrist named Dr. Sanada who encounters his former patient, Azusa, years after their initial sessions. During their past meetings, Azusa shared the story of her parents dying in a fire, an event for which she feels responsible. She previously criticized Dr. Sanada for being ill-suited for his profession, while he once suggested that she was not mentally ill. In the present, Azusa lives in Los Angeles as a prostitute under precarious circumstances. She is currently accused of committing a murder, and her memories are once again centered on a fire. Dr. Sanada is tasked with assessing her condition in the presence of an investigator who does not appear to understand the Japanese language. The central question of the narrative explores whether Azusa is now mentally ill. The film was released in Germany on February 13, 2016.
