The television series "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" is set in the fantastical land of Eternia. Two leaders from the past, one of whom became the good King Randor, and the other who became the evil monster Skeletor, engaged in a battle for the land. Skeletor plans to rise again and take Eternia. To protect the kingdom, the mystical powers of Castle Greyskull have chosen a hero. This hero is the son of King Randor, who is described as lazy and impulsive. The hero's teenage status is also noted. The series revolves around the chosen hero's role in defending Eternia against Skeletor's plans.
