Happy Ending 2026

Overview

Happy Ending is a 2026 drama film with a runtime of one hour and twenty-nine minutes. The story follows Elaheh, a literature student whose father died three years ago during protests against the regime of Ali Khamenei. In an effort to rebuild her life, she works illegally as a masseuse in a private flat located in Tehran. Her reputation for having magical hands grows, attracting men with government ties who seek her services, sometimes with the expectation of a happy ending. Elaheh maintains a defiant personal stance by refusing to wear a hijab and speaking openly about her hair, yet she remains cautious about the risks she takes. Her ultimate goal is to escape the confines of Tehran and reunite with her boyfriend, Soheil, in Berlin. This film is distinct from other projects sharing the same title, including a 2026 short film directed by Rupesh Tillu and various unrelated productions featuring characters named Ina and Joel or stories centered on a Hollywood star named Julia Roth.
