Hallo Spencer is a German children's television series created by Winfried Debertin and produced by Norddeutscher Rundfunk. The show features puppet characters created and operated in a similar fashion to those found in Jim Henson's Muppets and Sesame Street. Some of the show's staff were former employees of the German version of Sesame Street. The series was produced for 22 years and includes a number of 'specials' featuring the characters in traditional fairy tale and nursery rhyme themed stories.
