Overview
Goblin Slayer is an anime series that first premiered in October 2018. Based on light novels of the same name, the production was handled by the studio White Fox. The series is directed by Takaharu Ozaki, with series composition managed by Hideyuki Kurata, who also pens the scripts alongside Yousuke Kuroda. The story is set in a fantasy world where a lone hero makes his living by exterminating all goblins he encounters. Rumored to be an extraordinary man who has reached the Silver rank solely by killing goblins, he operates out of a guild located in the middle of nowhere. When a new adventurer, a priestess, forms her first party and encounters trouble, the Goblin Slayer intervenes to rescue them. Following this meeting, the hero’s life begins to become more intense. The voice cast for the series includes Yûichirô Umehara, Yui Ogura, Nao Tôyama, and Yûichi Nakamura. The show continued its broadcast run through 2023.
