Go, Diego, Go! is an American animated children’s series created by Chris Gifferd and Valerie Walsh that serves as a spin‑off of Dora the Explorer. The program debuted on Nickelodeon on 6 September 2005 and concluded its original run on 16 September 2011, delivering a total of 80 episodes. In addition to its primary Nickelodeon slot, the series was broadcast as part of the Nick Jr. on CBS block from 17 September 2005 through 9 September 2006. On 20 December 2006, Nick Jr. announced an order for twenty new episodes, which entered production later that year. Beginning in April 2008 the show was dubbed into Spanish and began airing in the United States on Univision within the Planeta U programming block. Throughout its six‑year run the series combined animation, educational content, and interactive adventure, targeting a preschool audience and maintaining a TV‑Y rating.
