Overview

Gate Keepers 21 is a television series released in 2002. The story takes place thirty two years after the defeat of the Invaders, a period during which the organization known as A.E.G.I.S. has been dismantled. In this era, only a small number of Gate Keepers remain to protect the world. The plot follows a character named Ayane Isuzu, who is identified as one of the few remaining Gate Keepers. As the narrative progresses, Isuzu discovers that the antagonists known as Machine General and Devil Count have returned to threaten humanity. Faced with these recurring enemies, the Gate Keepers must mobilize once again to save the Earth from destruction. The series focuses on the efforts of these individuals as they confront the resurfacing threat long after the original conflict concluded. By documenting the return of these specific foes and the response of the remaining members of the former organization, the series explores the necessity of defending the planet against renewed hostile forces in a changed world.
