Overview

Full Metal Panic! is a 2002 television series centered on the life of a high school student named Kaname Chidori. While Kaname is a popular student at her school, she is unaware that terrorists are actively plotting her abduction. These individuals target her because they believe she possesses rare and coveted abilities associated with the Whispered. To ensure her safety, a clandestine counter-terrorist organization known as Mithril assigns a soldier named Sousuke Sagara to protect her. Sousuke goes undercover at Kaname’s high school to monitor her and prevent the kidnapping. Although Sousuke is a skilled soldier who serves as an ace pilot for an Arm Slave mech, he faces difficulties navigating the social environment of a school. The series explores the contrast between his military background and his new undercover assignment as he attempts to guard Kaname from those seeking to exploit her unique status. The narrative focuses on the intersection of high school life and the dangerous clandestine operations conducted by Mithril to keep Kaname secure from external threats.
