Overview

From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke is a Japanese shōjo anime series produced by Production I.G. Based on the manga written and illustrated by Karuho Shiina, the television series premiered on October 7, 2009. The first season, which concluded on March 31, 2010, consists of 25 episodes. The series was directed by Hiro Kaburagi, with series composition by Tomoko Konparu and character designs by Yuka Shibata. The story follows high school student Sawako Kuronuma, who is frequently misunderstood due to her appearance. Because she resembles the character Sadako from the film series The Ring, peers label her with the same nickname and incorrectly assume she is malicious. Despite her timid nature and social difficulties, Sawako longs to make friends. Her life begins to change when she meets an extroverted classmate named Kazehaya. Through this connection, Sawako starts to break out of her shell. The Japanese cast includes Mamiko Noto, Daisuke Namikawa, Miyuki Sawashiro, and Yuko Sanpei. The series is also known by its Japanese title, Kimi ni Todoke.
