Overview
The television series Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya is based on the manga by Hiroshi Hiroyama, which is itself a spin-off of Type-Moon's visual novel, Fate/stay night. The series follows the story of Illyasviel von Einzbern, an ordinary elementary school student who becomes a magical girl. Illyasviel is deemed a more suitable master by the magical Kaleidostick Ruby, which was initially intended for the sorceress Rin Tohsaka. Rin had been tasked with collecting the seven Class Cards containing the spirits of Heroic Spirits from legend. The series involves Illyasviel's adventures as she collects the Class Cards, supervised by Rin, and her interactions with a friend and rival named Miyu, who is the contracted master of the Kaleidostick Sapphire. The Fate series, which includes Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, is a TYPE-MOON media collective that involves various events called Holy Grail Wars. The series was created by Type-Moon and Hiroshi Hiroyama and produced by Silver Link.
