Overview
Farscape is an Australian-American science fiction television series conceived by Rockne S. O'Bannon. The program was co-produced by The Jim Henson Company and Hallmark Entertainment, originally for the Nine Network. It premiered in North America on 19 March 1999 at 8:00 pm EST as part of the Sci-Fi Channel's SciFi Friday segment. The series features actors including Ben Browder, Claudia Black, Anthony Simcoe, and Lani John Tupu. The narrative begins when a freak accident during an experimental space mission catapults an Earth astronaut named John Crichton across a thousand galaxies to an alien battlefield.
