Family Law 2021

Overview

Family Law is a television drama series created by Susin Nielsen that originally premiered on September 16, 2021. The program follows a group of flawed family members who work together at a law firm located in downtown Vancouver. The story centers on Abigail Bianchi, a lawyer and recovering alcoholic who is attempting to rebuild her career and personal life after hitting rock bottom. As a condition of her probation, she is required to work at her estranged father’s firm, Svensson and Associates. This arrangement forces her to practice in the field of family law for the first time while establishing relationships with the half-brother and half-sister she has never met. The series explores the dynamics of this dysfunctional family as they operate a firm dedicated to assisting other families with their own internal conflicts. The cast of the series includes Jewel Staite, Zach Smadu, Genelle Williams, and Lauren Holly. The show is scheduled to run through 2026.
