Overview

Evil is an American supernatural drama television series created by Robert and Michelle King that premiered on September 26, 2019. The show originally aired on CBS before moving to Paramount+ for subsequent seasons. The narrative follows skeptical forensic psychologist Kristen Bouchard, who joins priest-in-training David Acosta and technology expert Ben Shakir to investigate the church's backlog of unexplained mysteries. Together, the trio examines supposed miracles, demonic possessions, and other extraordinary occurrences to determine if there is a scientific explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work. In one instance, the team assesses whether a pregnant woman is possessed after she claims one of her twins is evil. Their investigation into this case leads them to a fertility clinic. The series, which features actors Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, and Michael Emerson, concluded its run in 2024.
