Empire is an American music drama television series created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong. The program debuted on Fox on January 7, 2015, and concluded its run on April 21, 2020. The production was a joint effort between Imagine Television and 20th Century Fox Television. Although the series was filmed in Chicago, the story is set in New York. The plot centers on a hip-hop mogul who leads a music and entertainment company known as Empire Entertainment.
