Dr. Slump and Arale-chan: Hoyoyo!! Follow the Rescued Shark... is a 1994 animated comedy film directed by Mitsuo Hashimoto. The production features the voice talents of Kenji Utsumi, Mami Koyama, Naokazu Adachi, and Wakako Shimazaki. The story begins when the character Arale Norimaki rescues a shark while visiting the beach. As a gesture of gratitude, the shark invites Arale and the rest of the Norimaki family to visit an underwater city, also referred to as the Underwater Kingdom. During their visit to this aquatic location, Arale encounters Urashima Taro, who accompanies her to an amusement park. While the Norimaki family explores the city, the character Suppaman pursues them with the intention of seeking revenge. The film has a runtime of twenty-five minutes and was released in Japan on March 12, 1994.
