Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger is a Japanese television series classified within the action, adventure, comedy, sci-fi, and tokusatsu genres. The series originally aired on TV Asahi from February 14, 2016, through February 5, 2017, and consists of 48 episodes, each with a duration of approximately 24 minutes. Junko Komura served as the lead screenwriter for the production. The narrative follows a group of heroes who must defend the human world against the Dethgaliens, a space outlaw group that has selected Earth as the location for their 100th Blood Game. To combat this threat, one human and four anthropomorphic Zyumans awaken their instincts to become the Zyuohgers, working together to protect all living things. The cast and characters for the series were officially revealed during an event held at Tokyo Dome City in January 2016. Prior to the television premiere, the characters made their official debut in the film Shuriken Sentai Ninninger vs. ToQger the Movie: Ninja in Wonderland. The series has also been broadcast in South Korea.
