Overview

Dollface is an American comedy television series created by Jordan Weiss that premiered on November 15, 2019, on Hulu. The series stars Kat Dennings, Brenda Song, Shay Mitchell, and Esther Povitsky. The plot follows a young woman named Jules Wiley, who has spent the previous five years entirely absorbed by her romantic relationship. After being unexpectedly dumped by her longtime boyfriend, Jules must navigate the challenge of re-entering the world of women. To do so, she is forced to deal with her own imagination while working to rekindle the female friendships she left behind during her relationship. The show explores both the literal and metaphorical aspects of her journey as she attempts to reconnect with the friends she lost. Dollface ran from 2019 until 2022. The narrative focuses on the protagonist's personal growth and the restoration of her social connections following the end of her partnership. Through this process, Jules confronts the reality of the isolation she experienced while in her relationship and seeks to find her place among her peers once again.
