Overview

Doc Martin is a British television comedy drama series starring Martin Clunes in the title role. It was created by Dominic Minghella, based on the character of Dr. Martin Bamford from the 2000 film Saving Grace. The show is set in the fictional seaside village of Portwenn and primarily filmed in Port Isaac, Cornwall, with interior scenes shot in a converted barn. The series originally aired between 2004 and 2011, followed by a feature-length special broadcast in 2006. A sixth series premiered in 2013, continuing the story of the socially awkward yet brilliant doctor who relocates from London to rural Cornwall.
