Overview

Doc is an American medical drama television series that premiered on January 7, 2025, on Fox. Developed by Barbie Kligman, the series is based on the Italian television show Doc - Nelle tue mani, which was inspired by the true story of Dr. Pierdante Piccioni. The cast includes Molly Parker, Omar Metwally, Jon-Michael Ecker, and Amirah Vann. The narrative follows Dr. Amy Larsen, the Chief of Internal Medicine, who experiences a catastrophic brain injury after a car accident. This injury erases the last eight years of her memory, leaving her to navigate an unfamiliar world where she remembers her 17-year-old daughter as a nine-year-old. Despite losing a decade of medical knowledge and experience, she is determined to continue practicing medicine. To rebuild her life, she must return to the role of an intern while relying on a handful of devoted friends and her estranged daughter. She works to chart a new path forward while facing the obstacles created by her condition and the loss of her recent past.
