Overview
The television series "Divorce Court" is a courtroom show that features real-life divorcing couples. The show premiered on August 30, 1999, as the third incarnation of the series, which initially premiered in 1957. The program has had several presiding judges, including former Los Angeles prosecuting attorney Mablean Ephriam, former municipal court judge Lynn Toler, former NYC prosecutor Faith Jenkins, and former Brooklyn A.D.A. The show focuses on the stories of the soon-to-be exes, who present their cases to the judge. The judge then renders a ruling, settling the divorce issues.
