Dimension 20: Neverafter

Season overview

Dimension 20 is an anthology series that features Game Master Brennan Lee Mulligan leading a rotating cast of comedians and professional gamers through various tabletop role-playing game campaigns. The series blends elements of comedy, science fiction, fantasy, and action-adventure to create unique narrative experiences. In the specific installment titled Neverafter, the season explores a dark reimagining of traditional fairy tales. Within this setting, the narrative establishes that not every story concludes with a happy ending, subverting the expectations typically associated with classic folklore. As the players navigate this world, they engage in collaborative storytelling that challenges the established tropes of the genre. The season serves as one of many distinct adventures within the broader Dimension 20 framework, maintaining the show's signature focus on improvisational performance and complex game mechanics. By placing familiar fairy tale archetypes into a high-stakes tabletop environment, the season examines the consequences of narrative failure and the grim realities that exist behind the facade of traditional "happily ever after" endings. This season continues the series' established format of combining structured gameplay with character-driven comedy and dramatic tension, providing a distinct entry point for viewers interested in dark fantasy storytelling.
