Overview
Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater is a 2020 television series. The series follows Hina Tsurugi, who has just moved to a quaint seaside town with her family. Hina meets Yuuki Kuroiwa, an upperclassman at her new school, who invites her to join in fishing. Hina is afraid of bugs and big creatures, and this fear is triggered when she reels in an octopus that falls onto her. Yuuki sees this as an opportunity to force Hina to join the school's Breakwater Club, where members gather, catch, and eat various types of marine life. The series is based on a Japanese manga series about recreational fishing by Yasuyuki Kosaka, which has been serialized in Akita Shoten's seinen manga magazine Young Champion Retsu. The television series features a cast including Kanon Takao, Natsumi Kawaida, Yû Sasahara, and Satomi Akesaka.
